It is with great sadness that we learned of the recent death of Eric Hawkins.
His pioneering work contributed to key developments in language teaching and learning. It has inspired and will continue to inspire generations of language professionals. Past and present ECML projects focusing on language didactics and plurilingual education are based in particular on Eric's research in the field of language awareness.
Our thoughts are with Eric's family at this time of bereavement.
